Hi, my name is Kevan and I’m so glad that you’ve stopped by to check out my work. I’ve been a professional photographer for 17 years now. I started exclusively with weddings back in 2007, and have had the privilege of documenting over 350 weddings in my career.
Over the past decade, I’ve found myself drawn increasingly to classic portrait work. In 2013, my wife, Leah, and I started Decoro Portraits, which has focused primarily on Boudoir Photography. Recently, we acquired a beautiful studio space that has allowed us to expand our services into family, mother/daughter, and individual portraiture under our Kevan Wilkie Photography brand.
In addition to our elegant studio work, we also have the breathtaking beauty of Fernie, British Columbia at our fingertips. Wall Art
As a dad of three beautiful kids (yes, that’s them in the photos) I’ve become ever more aware of how fast time slips by. If you have kids, I’m sure you’ve noticed that as well. Hanging a large photo on your wall is a statement. It’s a declaration of ‘this is us’ and it tells your kids that this is a space where they are safe and loved. It also anchors them in the world.

Every time I’m in front of Kevan’s camera the experience is unique. There are new poses, different angles and more stretching! I’m always a tad nervous going into a shoot, but I always feel like a rock star when I’m done.
The experience is always positive, and I leave with a renewed sense of body awareness and confidence. No two shoots have ever been alike, and the pictures are always breathtaking. Kevan and Leah go out of their way to make sure you are encouraged and supported every step of the way. That’s not to say the shoot is a lovely, relaxing cake walk. You are going to have to work for it. But trust Kevan when he’s posing you, and the results will be totally worth it! They’ve managed to make this girl feel beautiful in the midst of two pregnancies, and that is a pretty major feat. I will always be grateful for my experiences with Kevan and Leah, and I will always recommend them to anyone who wants to be able to own the beauty we all have.

AMAZING!!!!
We recently hired Kevan do to our engagement photos and wedding photos. We scheduled a consultation over Skype and we knew right away that he was the right guy for the job! We had our engagement photos done over the weekend with Kevan and it just made us more excited for him to capture our special day. We were both nervous about getting the photos done as we had never gotten professional photos done before. We didn't want to look stiff and uncomfortable. Not only did the photos turn out absolutely amazing, but we had a blast getting our photos done with Kevan. Thanks for making our engagement session so much fun! We can't wait for you to capture our special day next August!
Update: It has been almost a year since our wedding and I still cry looking at our pictures. And I still have about 600 favorites! They completely take us back to the day and it allows us to relive those moments over and over.

Although the whole thing was very professional, we also had tons of fun!
I had my maternity photoshoot with Leah and Kevan a few weeks back and I’m so happy with how the experience went and how the photos turned out.
Although the whole thing was very professional, we also had tons of fun. Leah did an amazing job with my hair and makeup and Kevan was so patient and just knew how to direct us for the perfect shot. We went to multiple locations and many outfit changes for the right style and I’m so in love with every photo!
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for beautiful photos with professional quality.
